The town of Pomorie is one of the most stunning towns on the sea shore, a unique and attractive healing center and resort. It has about 14 500 inhabitants and is situated on a narrow rocky peninsula, jutting out 3,5 km in The Black Sea, 20 km away from Bourgas and 18 km away from the resort Sunny Beach. Comfortable transport junctions connect Pomorie with other towns and resorts. The airport is only 8 km away.

There used to be a Thracian settlement here called Anhialo. It was formed in VI-V century BC near the salty lake called by the ancient Thracians "sacred" because of its curative abilities.. The town has survived 25 centuries, it was set on fire and then built again repeatedly, it keeps in its lands the reminiscences of Roman, Byzantine, Crusaders and Turkish raids, and the exhibits of the archaeological collections are silent witnesses to them. In the years after the liberation from Ottoman oppression Pomorie kept and turned its ancient crafts into flourishing activities, which created its image by becoming a prosperous trading and resort center. Unordinary development of the producing of red and white wines, special sumptuousness brandies and cognac has been reached nowadays. The town has become a center of medical tourism as well. Thousands of Bulgarian and foreign tourists take therapy in the sanatorium complex every year, taking advantage of the healing qualities of the famous Pomorie mud. The distinctive charm of the cobblestone streets, the romance of the seaside boulevards and the fine-looking houses, the wide beach strip and the contemporary mud-healing treatments have made Pomorie an enviable place for holidays. To its many guests the town offers complete conditions for sports and entertainment as well.

The climate is extremely favourable: continuing sunshine which reaches up to 2360 hours annually. The beach line covers an area of 18 700 sq. m. It is 4 200 m long and its sand is rich in iron. The shallow and flat coastal line, bottom of the sea, with a slight slope and the cold sea currents make it safe for children and inexperienced swimmers. The Pomorie Bay is preferred for yachting and sailing, the pier - from amateur fishermen.

Among the most interesting places of interest in Pomorie are the Ancient Dome Tomb from the epoch of the late Roman dominance on these lands ( II - III century), the functioning monastery "St George" - a monument of Medieval architecture- in which icons are kept from XVIII and XIX century, the little church "Christ Transfiguration" from 1764 and the church "Virgin Mary", built from the best student of Kolio Ficheto - Usta Gencho.
